Dr. Taras Benzar is a triple-board certified physician in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. He specializes in the full breadth of hematologic and oncologic care, prioritizing cutting-edge techniques and patient advocacy in his practice. As a co-author of multiple publications in prestigious medical journals, Dr. Benzar’s commitment and expertise strengthen our shared mission to transform health battles into victories against cancer.
Dr. Benzar earned his medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in Devens, Massachusetts, before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University. He went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Louisiana State University’s Feist-Weiller Cancer Center and has further advanced his expertise through certification in Immuno-oncology from Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Benzar provides comprehensive care for patients with both benign and malignant hematologic disorders and a wide range of solid tumors. His clinical interests include targeted therapies, breast oncology, thoracic oncology, immunotherapy, and personalized viral anti-neoplastic approaches. He is committed to delivering individualized, evidence-based care by integrating the latest advances in precision medicine and cancer therapeutics to optimize outcomes for each patient.
